Deze week is in Rotterdam het vernieuwde Holland Casino opengegaan. Een opvallende blikvanger is de door WunderWorks ontwikkelde gamebar Joy. Joy is, tussen de pokerpit en de speelautomaten in geplaatst, een unieke plek waar gasten aan de bar kunnen gamen en ontspannen. Joy biedt plaats aan 12 spelers die elk met een eigen muis tegelijkertijd een van de vijf social casual games kunnen spelen. Joy is puur ter ontspanning. Het spelen is zonder kosten voor de gasten.

Ontwikkelaar van de Gamebar software, WunderWorks is erg blij dat het grote publiek nu kennis kan maken met het concept van Multi-user Gaming. "De ervaring is dat deze manier van interactie de mensen enorm enthousiasmeert en betrekt in de groep," aldus oprichter en directeur Mels Nieuwenhoven.

WunderWorks past deze manier van interactie al geruime tijd  in software toepassingen waar men met meerdere mensen kan samenwerken, samen spelen en bouwen, onder andere voor brainstorm toepassingen en in de security en monitoring industrie.

Software Development Kit

The core technology enables the creation of multi-user applications in Flash or C and is offered as an API/SDK. It allows developers to utilize multiple inputs to create or extend any Windows based application. It allows for the creation of management and hierarchy functionalities and much more. Currently the core engine is enabled for Windows Operating systems including XP/Vista.

Earlier this week WunderWorks and Holland Casino signed an agreement to bring WunderWorks’ multi-user solutions to Holland Casino’s Rotterdam venue. Due to open in October 2009 WunderWorks’ multi-user games will be available to Holland Casino’s visitors.
